Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is a condition of the mind that results in excessive, exaggerated anxiety and worry about ordinary life occurrences for no discernible reason. People with GAD have a propensity to constantly assume the worst and can't stop worrying about their health, finances, families, jobs, or academics. The anxiety is frequently irrational or excessive for the circumstance1. Worry, anxiety, and dread permeate every day living and can interfere with how one chooses to live. GAD symptoms include feeling tense, wound up, or on edge, getting easily tired, having trouble focusing, being irritable, and experiencing muscle tension or aches and pains. Physical signs of GAD might also include headaches, tense muscles, restlessness, heart palpitations, and upset stomach.
